Danfords Wedding | Sarah & Tom

It was an amazing winter wedding at Danfords Hotel and Marina in the lovely town of Port Jefferson.  When we met with Sarah and Tom I remember her saying “I hope it snows” and sometimes wishes do come true. Both bride and groom prep were at Danfords hotel.  Sarah and her girls had a beautiful panoramic view of the harbor while they had their hair and makeup done and Sarah shined with excitement. After her mom helped her slip into her magnificent OLEG Cassini gown, Sarah did a first look with her dad before her big reveal with Tom.

Tom waited anxiously to see his bride on the outside deck overlooking the harbor; you could feel the excitement building.  The bridal party and family members watched the couples reveal from the bridal suite window.  It was a beautiful moment when Tom saw his beautiful bride.  After photos of the couple and their families and bridal party over the harbor, it was time for their intimate ceremony.

Guests enjoyed an amazing cocktail hour which led to a reception with incredible speeches from the best man, maid of honor and the bride’s mother. The bride got her wish as the snow fell from the sky and we whisked the couple outside for some beautiful photos. After the parent dances there was a special groom and grandmother dance that had guests teary eyed. The remainder of the evening was a fun dance floor filled with family and friends.

Old Field Club Wedding | Courtney & Kyle

It was a beautiful day in December for Courtney and Kyle’s wedding at The Old Filed Club.  Courtney and her bridesmaids had their hair and make-up in the bridal suite at Danfords Hotel, while Kyle and his groomsmen got ready at Kyle’s childhood home in Smithtown.  Courtney gifted each of her girl’s graphic tank tops with specific special sayings for each one, personalized hangers, wristlets and shawls to keep them warm.  Kyle gave his groomsmen wooden watches and ties.  Kyle and his groomsmen headed over to Port Jefferson Park where he and Courtney would have their reveal.  Courtney looked radiant in her Vera Wang wedding gown and her beautiful bouquet was the perfect finishing touch.  The couple did their reveal down by the water overlooking the harbor and Kyle was taken aback when he saw his bride for the first time.  After photos in the park we took the bridal party to the Old Field Point Lighthouse and to West Meadow Beach before sunset and finished up with family photos at the venue.

Courtney and Kyle’s ceremony was at the venue, it was short, sweet and elegant in front of the venue beautifully decorated fireplace.  Afterwards, guests enjoyed cocktail hour overlooking the West Meadow Creek.  The venue’s main room looked magical with the holiday décor and the beautiful floral and lantern centerpieces. As favors, the couple gave their guests a Colorado Blue Spruce Sprig Saplings for them to plant, the bride insisted that we take one as well at the end of the evening, for us to plant as well.  After the couple cut their cake, Courtney shared a special dance with her brother and then the second half with her good friend and Kyle and his mom had their dance.  The venue set up delicious dessert stations with homemade pies, a cupcake station and an ice cream bar.  Before the last song of the evening, Courtney danced with her father, it was a very emotional dance for her and many tears were falling (for this photographer as well). Everyone had a great night and everyone danced to the evening’s end.

Liberty Warehouse Wedding | Christine & Paul

Christine and Paul’s spectacular affair at The Liberty Warehouse in Brooklyn, N.Y…   Always the groomsman, never the groom.  We have known Paul for several years from being in so many of our past couples bridal parties and it was finally his turn to get married.  We were so excited when Christine and Paul wanted us to be a part of their wedding day.

It was great to see so many familiar (past grooms) faces at Paul’s family home for his groom prep.  Christine and her bridesmaids got ready at her childhood home on the water in Massapequa Park.  Before slipping into her gown Christine read a beautiful card that Paul had written her and he gave her a beautiful two sided coordinate necklace with two very special set of coordinates on it.  Christine’s sister and mom helped her get into her exquisite Pronovias wedding gown which had an NYPD patch sewn into the inside of it for Paul and her beautiful Jimmy Choo shoes completed her stunning look.  The bridesmaids wore stunning black Hayley Paige gowns which made their bouquets pop.  After some photos out back on the deck it was time to head over to St. Rose of Lima church.

After a lovely ceremony we made our way into Brooklyn to The Liberty Warehouse for some spectacular photos by the water with the sunset and Lady Liberty in the background in one direction and the Freedom Tower in another.  The industrial warehouse style venue looked magical with the beautiful floral and candelabra table top centerpieces and the hanging Edison lights hanging from above.  A unique wedding cake was a tiered tower of donuts that sat next to a window overlooking The Statue of Liberty.  It was so nice to see so many of our past couples and their families at Paul and Christine’s wedding, they all truly feel like family to us.  As usual, this crowd did not disappoint and kept the dance floor full of fun the entire night.

Bellport Country Club Wedding | Jennifer & Jamie

Jennifer and Jamie’s affair was at the lovely Bellport Country Club.  The day started off at Jennifer’s childhood home on the water in East Patchogue for bridal prep.  After a champagne toast with her bridesmaids, Jennifer opened her gift from Jamie.  He bought her stunning diamond and pearl earrings.  Jennifer slipped into her beautiful Dennis Basso gown with the help from her sister and mom and it was a touching moment for Jennifer and her father when he came in to see her in her dress. After a few photos out back on the dock and it was time to get married!  Jamie and his groomsmen got ready at the Springhill Suites in Brookhaven and Jennifer’s gift to Jamie were a set of initialed cuff links.

I always love seeing the emotion on a grooms face when he the church doors open and he sees his bride for the first time and the joy on Jamie’s face when he saw Jennifer was sweet.  After the mass, we went to Brookwood Hall for photos with the couple and bridal party and then over the Town of Islip beach for some sunset photos and photos with their wedding trolley before going to the venue for family photos.

The décor at the venue was elegant with the beautiful floral arrangements, a cigar bar for the guest to enjoy, the Ruby Booth photo booth and all the sentimental touches as well, atop the dessert and ice cream bar sat an ice sculpture of the lighthouse where the couple got engaged and the wedding cake was adorned with Jennifer’s grandparents antique cake topper.  Guests filled the dance floor all night, thanks to Long Island Sound DJ entertainment and guests enjoyed a to go coffee/cookie bar.

Glen Cove Mansion Wedding | Bridgid & Carmine

Bridgid and CJ’s wedding at the historic Glen Cove Mansion was beautiful and elegant.  After a fun and chilly e-session in D.U.M.B.O. with this amazing couple, I knew the wedding day would be perfect.  It was sweet to see photos from their e-session displayed in Bridgid’s room.  Excitement filled the air at bridal prep; Bridgid was excited yet calm at the same time.  Bridgid’s hair and make-up was stunning, simple and clean, she looked radiant.  It was Bridgid’s childhood friend, now make-up artist that was getting her ready for the most important day of her life.  When Bridgid was ready to get dressed she explained how an heirloom pin had to be placed in her dress, this pin was worn by her mother, her grandmother and great grandmother on their wedding days. Bridgid’s sister and mom helped her slip into her stunning wedding gown and a beautiful handmade lace jacket, Bridgid looked absolutely breathtaking.

CJ and his groomsmen got ready at the Glen Cove Mansion before heading over the St. Agnes Cathedral to marry the love of his life.  As the choir sang and the doors opened to reveal Bridgid, CJ could not hold back the tears.  As she walked down the aisle, CJ’s emotional display was sweet and touching.  After the ceremony the couple headed back to Bridgid’s house to take some quick photos on her porch, the place where CJ proposed.  After arriving at the mansion we captured some bridal party and family photos, we   kept the couple for a few more photos before sending them to their cocktail hour.   A stunning banquet hall beautifully decorated with stunning floral centerpieces and a rockin’ band that had everyone dancing til the end of the evening.  It was a super fun night and the groom even stole a moment to sing with the band.
