“We’re in This Together”
Kira and mike’s old field Club wedding was our final wedding for 2016 and what a way to end our best year ever! I knew when I first met with Kira and her sister Dana this was going to be a great wedding with another great couple. I finally got to meet Mike on their e-session at Avalon Park a couple of months before their wedding and the three of us shared many laughs.
Fast forward to the wedding day. Kira looked absolutely stunning in her Oleg Cassini wedding dress, what can I say, it had pockets!! Kira said it was for “pocket candy” which is exactly what I would have used them for too. Even her shoes were perfect, a simple blue suede ballerina style slipper. Decker’s Nursery, Florist and Tree Preservation (where Mike works) made the bouquets and boutonnieres and they were exquisite.
Kira and Mike did their reveal at the Old Field Lighthouse where Mike was doing his best to hold back the tears when he set eyes on Kira. After family and bridal party photos we were off to The Old Field Club. At their ceremony Kira and Mike did a “Tying the Knot” rope ceremony. At the reception Kira also surprised Mike with an amazing “Mario” themed groom cake. Their first dance song was an astounding rendition of “We’re in this together” by Nine Inch Nails that was recorded by a close friend. Mike had a dance off with the flower girls and everyone spent the entire night having fun and dancing thanks to Jorge Ponce of DJ Nevachange.
