How special it is for us to photograph Marisa and Anthony’s Old Field Club wedding on October 8th. Their wedding day was also our wedding day 16 years before. Our excitement started during their photo engagement photo session at the Milleridge Village during Christmas time. Marisa and Anthony told us how they loved the holiday season so the decision was made to have their Engagement session photographed there. Marisa had also requested that we photograph her bridal shower at the lovely Miller Pond House in the upcoming months before the wedding.
On their wedding day, all of the smallest of details had such big meaning, Marisa’s something old, was a bracelet from her mother in law, her something new, was her beautiful dress, shoes and headpiece, her something borrowed, was her bride hankerchief from her cousin and her something blue, was a spectacular sapphire ring from Anthony, his wedding gift to her. Marisa arrived to their first look at the Old Field Lighthouse in her father’s 1966 Cadillac and the expression on Anthony’s face when he saw Marisa for the first time was heartwarming. Everyone around could see how much love they have for one another. After our portrait session with the bridal party and their wonderful families, it was time for Marisa to walk down the aisle and marry Anthony. The heartfelt vows they wrote to one another brought a few tears to guests (and this photographer’s) eyes. The entire event was amazing from the first dance to the last dance, the Tarantella (the unicorn dance), and Anthony’s very touching speech after their cake cutting, where this incredible couple wished us a happy anniversary and presented us with a cake. We absolutely loved spending and sharing this special day with Marisa and Anthony and are honored to share anniversaries with them.
